How to clarify unreconciled transactions in your bookkeeping report
Hey there, fantastic clients! We understand that the world of bookkeeping can sometimes be a bit puzzling, especially when it comes to those unreconciled transactions. But worry not, because we've got your back! We've put together this easy guide to help you respond to the report we send you at the end of each service cycle. We have three different ways you can respond to our report to suit your preference.
Method 1: Download and Fill in the PDF Report
When you receive the end-of-cycle report, take a moment to download the Statement Lines Report PDF attached.
Open the PDF and locate the form inside. This form will have space for you to provide additional details about any unreconciled transactions. If you encounter a transaction that needs attention, simply fill in the necessary information in the form. Don't forget to include any split receipts if the GST amount is divided among different categories.
Please format in an easy to understand manner: ACC: (Account) Tracking Codes: (Tracking Codes)

Log in to your Xero account and navigate to the transactions that need your attention. You'll find our comments and notes right there waiting for you.
Respond directly to our comments within Xero. If a transaction needs additional documentation, make sure to send Receipts to Xero Files.
Remember, we're here to simplify your bookkeeping journey, so you can focus on what you do best. Whether you choose to fill in the PDF form, comment through Slack, or engage directly in Xero, the important thing is that you're comfortable with the process. Whichever way you choose to respond, know that we're just a message away if you have any questions or need assistance.
